People are asking for cites that Ted Kennedy was drunk? Here I, ignorant foreigner that I am, thought that that was sort of like questioning the Catholicness of the Pope, or the wooded nature of the locale of bear scat. That said, I believe it’s the Republican ticket that’s ahead in the DWI conviction department, by a count of 3-0. Of course, those were just youthful indiscretions, and are in no way an indictment of the leadership abilities of the esteemed gentlemen, because when Bush and Cheney drove drunk, they had the foresight not to drive off a bridge with a passenger. That’s the sort of good judgement that a person likes to see in leading politicians. ---

That’s what I was seeking a cite for. He’s now withdrawn that assertion, as far as I can tell. ---

I have no dog in this race but you do realize that you’re making yourself seem really sillly right? You’re basically saying it is okay for a General DURING war to have deaths under their belt but a soldier who is being directed DURING a war is responsible for his kills? That is beyond stupid. ---
