And you also, given hindsight, know what happened to quite a few of those ‘utterly corrupt and rotten SVietnamese’ types when the tanks rolled into the south, right? How are those free elections working out these days? And, regardless of spin, you also know that in fact Nixon DID get us out of Vietnam, where we left the Southerners to face the music. I suppose it depends on one’s definition of ‘win’…and ‘fair argument’. Also, who is judging and deciding. 😛 As I said, I don’t want to fight the whole war again…it was nasty enough the first time (though I was only a kid for most of it). -XT ---

Well, he doesn’t want to argue, he said so quite clearly. He merely wants to post a rebuttal, and have me nod approvingly and admit that, yes, indeed, our arguments are equivalent and its all just a matter of perspective. Tomato, tomatoh, potato, turd biscuit… ---

Man, I’d never characterize your arguments as ‘turd biscuit’, 'luci. I might THINK it, but I’d never come right out and say it. Nor do I expect you to nod (well, perhaps nod off) approvingly at any crazy Right Winger on such a vital topic.
