This Home Depot had a Ryobi 18 Volt Cordless Drill, 2x2, and 2 in. nails set up in a disply near the check out stand… I had to try it! “O” number 3 OWWWWWWWW 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 ---

I don’t orgasm over powertools, but I know a lot about them. I can tell from 50 feet whether something is a Makita or a Jet, for example. I know an Ulmia from a Delta (and I know for damn well sure that a guy with an Ulmia tablesaw is a hotter prospect than a guy with a Delta Unisaw). I’m working on the handtool thing now. Do you know that some handplanes sell for $6,000?!? I can use NONE of these things, but I know what they are. ---

I absolutely _love_ powertools. I can spend hours and hours looking and playing with the tools in B&Q. Saws, drills, anything with a lovely purring or roaring motor… Oh yea! But, this is nothing compared to what the wood section does for me. The feel of it all is great but I love the smell expecially. It just sends me into a frenzy… ::insert googly eyed smiley here:: ---

You’d love our house then; 100-year-old Victorian (badly in need of rehabbing, alas) with most of the rooms panelled. When we bought the house I was planning to put a workshop in the basement with a full set of woodworking tools and work on the place myself. Unfortunately, life intervened and it never happened. ☹ Maybe when I retire…assuming we don’t end up selling the place and moving to Vegas. ---
