Oh, I don’t know. I have no idea about the banana thing. It was both a semi-serious question and a disgusting joke. I tend to avoid threads where I see certain names, like **rachelellogram** ’s in case she starts talking about her smelly crotch again. ---

I so wish it was something I had invented, I would have gone for something a little more outrageous, though… …Well, come to think of it, I don’t have the kind of morbid-beyond-repair imagination that would be required to top that banana. Anyway, I have no intention to go retrieve that particular post, and if I were you, I’d chase away any mad thoughts that might veer you into that direction. ---

You know, it’s funny. When I first saw **rachelellogram** on the boards, I was a little freaked out. This was wholly because she shared the same first name as me, had problems with her weight, lived nearby, played WoW, and worked in a call center in the same industry that I did. It was like I had a clone! Of course, as it actually turns out, we’re quite different. But, Christ, guys, this thread doesn’t feel right. She’s newer, and she posts a lot, and she’s rather blunt and opinionated. If the posts cited here were made by someone who’d been here a number of years, I don’t think they’d be getting this sort of pile-on. And, really, all these posts about the pants thread? I mean, come on; I’ve been here long enough that I’ve seen way, way worse. It was an evocative thread title. There’s no need to judge her by that. Or for the thread about her mother, really; I mean, I think the main crux of her annoyance was that it was imposing on _her_. And that shit’s always annoying, whether or not the reason is disability or simple lack of a vehicle. If she’s guilty of anything, it’s maybe of posting too much. I think a lot of people go through that when they find this place, though. God knows I did. I call it, “I needed a fucking Livejournal” syndrome. It dies down eventually, and the threads breathe new life into this place. The attacks in this thread–basically tearing into her life, and piling on to admit annoyance–are just. . .I don’t know. They make me feel uncomfortable, like being in middle school and overhearing a bunch of catty girls slamming the unremarkable girl from algebra class. It’s _unseemly_. I don’t have a problem with her. And I don’t really see the necessity of this sort of pile on. I didn’t like it when I saw it leveled at people like **Guin** back in the day, and I don’t like it now. ---

I missed the edit window in adding this: This isn’t to say that I think **Rilchiam** shouldn’t have made the thread. That’s what the Pit’s for. I’m mostly surprised and a bit appalled by the pile-on behavior I’ve seen in this thread. Maybe I’ve been out of the Pit too long. ---

She’s started _multiple_ threads where she asks us why some body part/article of clothing/piece of furniture of hers smells like shit, she is downright nasty and rude in the most innocuous of threads, and she posts some weird stuff. The reaction against that isn’t all that surprising. We still pile on Randy don’t we? If she wants people to stop, she needs to stop being a fucking weirdo. EDIT: Her reply to the “Amy Player” thread was spot on though. “We like to be called ‘fen’…” and it gets worse from there. What the fuck was that shit? ---

Well, it depends on if she meant “get rid” as in… Al Pacino style “get rid of them :mad:”, or unused clothes style get rid like with a charity shop, find a nice home. The person who is faced with getting rid of his extremely expensive pets is going to have to get rid of them eventually or be faced with a terribly cruel life for both them and him. The person was a fucking asshole for getting so many pets to begin with when it was possible this might happen. Forget this “oh golly gosh I had just so much love to go around”. Sometimes I would really like to have a dog, but I just don’t know if I could give him/her all the attention they need. You have to think of the pets. Pets are your equals, and if you don’t understand that you should never have any pets. That guy is a cruel and extremely negligent person to take on so many animals. ---

I think it’s clear from the text I quoted that “the pets would be fine, if it weren’t for all the fucking expenses”; that the expenses were due to unforeseen medical problems; and that it wasn’t an issue of him having too much love to go around, but rather that his children had bonded closely with the pets. I stand by calling **Rachelellogram** a fucking asshole.
