**Drake** , your observations about how useful racing games can be to actual races have also been made by drivers themselves - a lot of NASCAR drivers use the EA Sports NASCAR games to keep themselves “on the ball” during the off-season - it’s fun and it apparently helps them.

in formula 1, drivers face a force of about 6g’s. that’s a helluva lot, for 2 hours of racing at excess speeds.

i’ve heard a formula 1 car driver actually panting ( not in the race, but on a practice run, done for a television clip to show ppl that racing is actually strenous ) so it does take very physically fit persons. apart from highly skilled.
