I think the default assumption is that they can and they do. I see examples of genes in any given individual driving those sorts of things, and so I think its reasonable that two different groups with different prevalences for genesets would have different genetically-underpinned average performances.

Real life confirms that default assumption on two grounds for me. First is the consistency of the pattern across cultures and political systems, and second is the refractoriness of the pattern to all efforts at eliminating nurturing variables.

To date, when we compare groups with normalized opportunity, the differences for skillsets persist, and no nurturing influence has been identified that accounts for this. What’s left is genes.

In simple terms, the black SIRE group is “dumber” (to put it pejoritavely) for intellectual averages and “faster” for sprinting averages. This has been repeatedly and consistently measured. The question is, “Why?” and the answer is, “gene prevalence differences, because nurturing differences can be normalized and normalizing them does not eliminate the average gap.”

As a follow-up to the game you’re playing:

Does Chief Pedant hold that black people, on average, are inherently genetically less intelligent than white people? Does Chief Pedant hold that black people with very high intelligence, on average, have inferior genes for intelligence to pass onto their offspring then white people with equally high intelligence

The answer to the first question is, “Yes, depending on which type of skillset we are measuring. For g, yes.”
The answer to the second question is “No” if you are talking about the actual “genes for intelligence” but “Yes” if you are talking about offspring regressing to a lower mean because of other genes carried in the gene pool of highly intelligent blacks. All outliers for various genetically-determined traits tend to have offspring that regress to the mean for the population represented by the outliers. I do not think this regression to the mean is a controversial notion.

He’s wrong about me here – I don’t believe that black people are inferior intelligence, but he straight up admits that he does in this post.
