well, you guys have done it again. all i read so far were a couple of hippies taking what i said out of context and telling me how wonderful their country is so of course it’s okay to tell us lowly canadians what to do and ho we should make our laws. morans. lol. i saw that on a republican poster. it said “get a life morans”. anyway. dont tell me about what advances you’ve made in your country. you’re still not there yet. nobody is. that’s what im trying to get across. when i first read this thread people were saying that canadians shouldnt have an anti-hate speech law. i disagreed. i was just stating that a majority of canadians dont disagree with the law that passed. lol i never said ALL canadians didnt disagree. so let’s see…for defending my country’s rights as a sovereign nation to make its own decisions concerning protecting jews from unneccessary public discriminations… ive been called an intolerant asshole, anti-american, anti-freedom, idiot, bigot,…nazi(!?!)…and so forth. someone told me to post here because these were arguably the best message boards on the net. i guess he was strictly pertaining to the Great Debates forum. alot of closed minds in here. ---

This is exactly what you don’t get, moran. If the majority ruled all the time (like you seem to be saying works so well for you), I think we’d vote to shut you the hell up. Instead, you get to voice your opinion. Know why? Because opinions aren’t dangerous – only actions are. No one here’s barring you from voicing your opinion because we realize that discourse is healthy and good. And yes, we’re offering up our own opinions in return. That’s what makes it work. I find it pretty ironic that the very thing you’re arguing against is what’s allowing you to make your argument. ---
