# Rage Against the Machine Fans: What do you think of AudioSlave?

**AudioSlave** , the band featuring the former members of **Rage Against the Machine** with new lead singer Chris Cornell, formerly from **Soundgarden** , has recently been in rather heavy rotation on my local rock radio station. When I first heard about Zach de la Rocha leaving RAtM, I was happy to hear rumors that the band was considering hiring B-Real from **Cypress Hill** to be the new lead vocalist. On the other hand, I was horrified to hear that they also considered Cornell; I thought the style of music Rage played would clash totally with the way Cornell sounded on vocals. Let’s just say I have been pleasantly surprised and have found myself liking the debut AudioSlave single, “Cochese.” (sp?)

So, fellow Rage Against the Machine fans (I know there are some of you out there!), what do you think of the new project?

Oh! Oh! No wonder I don’t like them. I thought they were going to name themselves something else at one point, and none of the DJs had clued me into who they were. I guess a Rage by another name still sounds the same…

I stopped listening to Rage against the Machine after Inside Out broke up.
