The U.S. government has admitted that radioactive particals have made their way to the U.S. from Japan and are in milk and ground water in 15 + states. My thoughts are that the amount is higher than admited ( their math has always been questionable) My question is what effect will this have on home gardens ? another is, will we be canning radioactive veggies this fall ?
Probably little to no effect on the gardens.
And yes, we will - but the radioactivity will be negligible. I heard a great report on Colorado NPR from a professor at Colorado School of Mines, check it out here. Really put into perspective [for me] what levels are unhealthy and how much radiation we actually get on a daily basis.
