Registered, got my #, checked out the silent auction (it’s benefiting an elementary school), & now sitting in my car trying to keep warm. Some of the auction items will only be bid on by a parent (framed art obviously by an ELEMENTARY student) but there is one **Mooommm** will probably want me to bid on - a chocolate lover’s basket; all kids of boxes & bars of cacao extract. Opening bid is only $30. ---

**sari** , with pets and a vehicle, you can never have too many towels. Went to PT after irk yesterday, then to dinner with a friend before going to _Shakesbeer_ (a beer tasting with Shakespeare themed entertainment as one ov a local children’s Discovery Center’s adult evenings) for a meet up. The improv part was fun and I got to taste some decent local brews. Today is laundry, groceries and other chores with a break for an afternoon coffee date. Then I need to finish prepping the craft project for the heathen kids for tomorrow. ---

Happy Saturday! Now I’m up for reals. It looks like the sun is coming out. That is good, Sah-son can work on taming the jungle today. How such a small yard can become so overgrown so quickly is beyond me. He just mowed out back on Moonday and it already needs it again. If I wasn’t so anal about my closets and cabinets I’d probably agree that one can never have too many towels, but all these towels are messing with my system. I like to be able to open the door and see nice neat rows of things, all like things put together. I have stopped short of having all labels facing front in my pantry. I think I need to see a shrink. ---

Taking a break from yard work. I’ve beat back the foliage hanging over some of the fence, but I don’t think I’ve done half of it yet. I needed to come in to sit and hydrate, then I’ll hack down a little bit more. \*\*sari \*\*- never look into my second guest bedroom - you’d have a heart attack from the rather, um, casual way I have things put away in there. ---

Next week is Squirrel AGM’s 50th birthday. I’ve already gotten him a nice card (I threatened him with an insulting one, but they didn’t have anything good at the grocery store) and when I get off work today I’m going to the toy store to see if they have a stuffed vulture I can leave on his chair when he comes in next week. 😃 I want to get him a nice present, too. Maybe a Trader Joe’s gift card? But that would require actually :eek:_going into the store!!_:eek: and I’d have to collect money. Perhaps I can convince someone to :eek: \*go into the store!! \*:eek: for me since I live in God’s Waiting Room instead of Hippy Hollow now. “Why don’t you want to go into Trader Joe’s,\*\* Big Kitty\*\*?” Because it’s nigh impossible to get in and out of the parking lot and it’s full of trendy hipster idiots and scrawny yoga moms. Also it’s impossible to get in and out of the parking lot. ---

Done. I picked up the rest of the branches that didn’t fit in my wagon the first time, then snipped enough overhang to fill the cart a second time. The worst is yet to come - I rode the mower along the fence to see what remains - MUCH to be done, but probably not this weekend. I need to do some weeding out front - maybe I’ll do a little tomorrow. But for now, I quit. ---

The grim March toward All Grown Up continues, as Girl 2.0 heads to a friend’s birthday party at a coffee shop, not the park or the arcade nor even the go-kart track or mini golf. I wonder if she’d mind if I just sat in and had a peaceful cup of coffee, maybe read a book or catch up with friend’s mom? Not really, though - need to feed the munchkins and the fellow before heading out for The Boy’s Last Drama Performance with my mom and Girl 2.0. It’s going to be weird, though: I think this might be the first time ever that The Boy hasn’t been in drag for at least one act of a play or series. (Last month, he was a very pretty harem girl in Aladdin, because production needed someone strong enough to help move a large prop during the act.) The Fellow had a bunch of loud dreams last night - kept yelling at people - so I’m glad the yard work is done for the week. I’m tired! Nap, feed the kids, and purtify for being seen by the general public. ---

Talk about timing! I quit yard work and \*\*FCD \*\*got back from the dump just before it started raining (dammit) again! I have showered and I’m dressed for slug mode - sweat pants and t-shirt. My sweetie is about to lie down and take a nap. Supper shall be Hamburger Helper, because I don’t feel like cooking real food. 😃 But I do jazz it up with veggies, so there’s that. But, yeah, rain. 😛 ---

Much running around. My motorcycle club had an emergency board meeting this AM and we got the flowers for all the various graves we do. Hope to get all that done tomorrow. Now its rest and some lamb patties later for dinner. ---

Needed milk, The Boy wanted an energy drink before curtain time, and I needed cash for tickets to the play, so I ran out to the nearest grocery store after showering, but before makeup and hair.
