I’m sitting here sipping my scotch and my interest was renewed in the art of the toast. Here’s some of the favorite’s I’ve found. “Health to the sick Honor to the brave Success to the lover Freedom to the slave” “Here’s to a long live and a merry one; A quick death and an easy one; A pretty girl and an honest one; A cold beer and another one.” Add to the collection, dopers! ---

“Confusion to the British!” (not sure where I heard that one) Here’s a couple from my camping days: “Heres to it and from it and to it again. If you don’t do when you get to it You may never get to it again.” (I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean) And, “Here’s to heat. Not the kind that ignites and burns down shanties. But the kind that excites and brings down panties.” ---

My toast at my brother’s wedding was **Bob Dylan’s** version of _Forever Young_. I did a decent job of reciting all the verses from memory, and there were few dry eyes after.
