# Raise your hand if you knew that NY and RI have a common border

Now, how many of you have crossed directly from New York State into Rhode Island, and not via air?

You mean Fishers Island, NY? The border is a sea border, not a land one, though a good swimmer might be able to swim from one to the other.

Sure, I’ve done it about a zillion times. From the east end of Long Island to Block Island, usually.
