What the fig is going on over in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=6429448)? It looks like **Incubus** left an italics bracket open, and the board doesn’t realize that it can be closed now.

Some hamster must have hopped a flight…to Italy.

I’ve seen the same thing happen with a **bold** tag; someone with edit powers fixed that one.

I’ve fixed it.

For future ref, you will usually get faster results if you hit a REPORT THIS POST button. That sends an email to the Mods, and we almost always look at our emails before we start reading the MB randomly, so you will usually get faster response that way.
