So tonight there was a rerun of Seth Meyers on the Late Show, and he had Rachel Maddow on. One of the things he popped up was a viral video from Rand Paul using different ways to destroy the “tax code”, piles of paper. He set some on fire, dumped some through a wood chipper, used a chainsaw on some more, and asked people to vote.
His first question was to other people in other countries look at this and think “What the fuck?”
And then they pointed out that sadly, this season with so much bizarrity going on, this wouldn’t get him noticed for a day. Which is actually true - this is the first I’ve heard of it, weeks later (the show was from before the debate).
