If the reporter(s) doesn’t see anything worth reporting, they just going to write a simple piece about Paul’s speech. Wire reporters aren’t trained to editorialize, they’re trained to dictate the facts, get a couple of quotes, and that’s that. On the other hand, DC is a political city and “Hey! Paul’s going to speak at a black college! Let’s go see what the hell happens” is going to draw more than a couple of staff guys working for the wire agencies and freelancers. Anyway, if some people in this thread can’t see the difference between the reporting in DC vis-a-vis Louisville, KY and want to believe they’re equivalent… well, more power to them. ---
