Hah! Maybe the hope is that after you get that crap into them, they’ll turn Happy. My job search continues to suck. Things I’m tired of: - Perfect jobs too far away. - People who post their “work at home!” scam ads. - 99.9% of the companies in Calgary only wanting full-time employees. Open your minds a bit - see how useful part-timers could be. We only get paid for the time we work - we’re far more cost-effective than half of those coffee pot chatters you’ve got now. - 99.9% of the jobs not being for me. Related - the one or two jobs I find each week that I’m interested in not calling me. - My own limitations - I hate that I can’t stand receptionist work. If I could tolerate it, I’d never be out of work. Everyone always needs receptionists, and I hate answering the fucking phone. ---

The establishment I mentioned in the “[cursed restaurant thread](http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=565807)” turned out to be a Thai place (not Indian as I said in the OP). I had dinner there last night, and it was delicious! I had grilled trout, not what I think of as a traditional Thai dish. It was perhaps the best trout I’ve ever had in a restaurant; a large, whole fish done to perfection. Now I need to go back and try the curry! ---

There are quite a few fish dishes that are considered part of Thai fare. _Pla samlee_ and _pla sam rot_ spring immediately to mind.
