Scene: College rooming house, Berkeley, TV room, ca. 1971. Star Trek (TOS) re-runs are shown 5 days a week, followed immediately by Mission Impossible re-runs. Group of hard-core trekkies watching almost every night. Same group (mostly) watches Mission Impossible too. Phelps and crew are at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. Suddenly a drive-by shooting happens!!! Someone at a table at the cafe lies in a pool of blood on the sidewalk. Phelps: Stands by, scowling. Paris (played by Nimoy, remember): Jumps into action! Dives down to the guy in pool of blood.
