# Randy Quaid arrested crossing the border

Randy Quaid, aka Cousin Eddy (and really, who can tell the difference?), [was arrested](http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/quaid-custody-vermont-cross-border-34384560) crossing into Vermont from Canada. He faces felony charges in California.

The Quaid saga is an interesting one. It seems like he and his wife share the same delusions. I wonder which one was began to influence the other? Seems like they may be suffering from this:

Quaid was in the midst of being deported from Canada and apparently sought to avoid his inevitable arrest therefrom by sneaking into the country ahead of his deportation.
Since happening upon a sex tape Quaid uploaded to the internet some time back featuring a session between he and his wife (complete with incessantly barking dog) I’ve tried to think of Randy Quaid as little as possible. Unfortunately, now that he’s back in the U.S. I’m sure we’ll be hearing about him on a fairly regular basis for the foreseeable future.

FWIW, I think the “expressing themselves” part is referring to what Randy told the AP, not Dennis.
edit- meaning “He told the AP” in the quote is Randy. The way I typed it isn’t clear

I read this article before, but can anyone sum-up the gist of his troubles. It says he’s wanted in California for vandalizing a guesthouse he & his wife once owned but were then squatting in. Is he broke? Can he not afford a lawyer? Or a home? Did he blow his money on drugs? Or are they just mentally ill (and un-medicated)? He was always an odd actor to be sure, but how long has he been full-blown Unabomber crazy?

He made the situation much worse by jumping bail. Wiki also mentions an incident (a year earlier) where he didn’t pay a hotel bill and had charges in Texas. Seems like his money is running out.
