Be well, Ranger Jeff.
I’ll be praying for you, Mr. Ranger Jeff, sir. Get back here soon and be all better.
I hope things get better for you Ranger Jeff. I will certainly pray for your recovery.
Ranger Jeff is in my thoughts and prayers. Get well soon, Jeff!
Best wishes.
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery!
All wishes for a very speedy recovery there, Ranger Jeff !!
TubaDiva, thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Hang in there, Ranger Jeff, you’re in our thoughts.
And thanks so much, TubaDiva.
Saying prayers for you and your family, Ranger Jeff. Hope to see you back here soon.
Next time, a simple, “I can’t, because the sun makes me sneeze” will be far less expensive than ending up in the hospital!
Talked to Jeff just a few minutes ago. He’s stable and feeling as well as you can in this situation.
The Ranger tells me the plan is to move him to rehab in Peoria by Saturday and he’ll be there a couple of weeks. This will involve an intensive form of therapy to get him back to himself as soon as possible. He doesn’t have an address yet so I can’t share but when he does we can send get well cards and other encouragement.
I expect to talk to him on Sunday, I want him to have time and space and etc and not have me bugging him overmuch, hard to be social when you’re in the hospital.
Please keep our Ranger in your thoughts. He’s been a part of the scene since our AOL days, when he was one of our chat hosts. I have a lot of happy memories from those crazy early times, he made that time fun. He’s still making it fun nowadays as well, nice to see that continues. ![]()
Arizona, or Illinois? (Just curious.)
IL.
Dood. That’s pretty drastic just to have an excuse.
Seriously, praying for you, Jeff. HUGS
Best wishes, Jeff.
And next time, for Og’s sake, just move the damn cinder blocks.

Thoughts and prayers headed your way - DUCK!
Just saw this. So sorry to hear it, Ranger! Hang tough, and do what the nice physical therapists tell you. (Even when you’d rather punch them! LOL!) I’ve helped a couple of friends through this process, and it’s never 100% fun. Challenge yourself to make use of every minute you get with them though, their knowledge and experience are priceless.
Hope all goes well with the Ranger!
How do we know that he didn’t give in, start moving the blocks, and this is the result?!?
Now I have the perfect excuse next time someone asks: “Sorry, but I’ve heard that slinging cinder blocks puts strain on the arteries and can cause a stroke.”
