Um… Take a break, then “get back on the horse.” Don’t give up, just relax for a while. Writing is too important to stop doing. What kind of writing do you do? Fiction, poetry, essays, death-threats to politicians, technical writing, gossip columns, or…? Anyway, sympathy. Still, anything worth doing is going to pose a challenge. Courage. And maybe a couple beers. ---

Quite for a teence, but then quite quiting… …by doing some quiting for ‘fun’: jot down a conversation in a café, then make up a conversation in a café (a local coffee joint is all I need to jumpstart my creativity). NEVAH QUITE! – Winston Churchill – ---

I want to be a successful, full-time writer some day, but I know that I will keep writing whether or not I’m successful. “Quite” for “quit” is not a big deal. It’s not about spelling – it’s about your fingers’ memory, and they just ‘remember’ that an ‘e’ comes after ‘quit-’ out of habit. Don’t stop writing! ---

Guys, the title is misspelled. Obviously, he didn’t mean “The Day I Quite Writing”. My guess, is he meant “The Day I Quiet Writing”, but when he noticed his typo, he flew into a blinding rage that broke the serenity and peacefulness that he was trying to capture with words. Don’t despair. Eventually the rage will fade and you’ll get that peaceful, easy feeling again and the words will just pour out. ---

I have a successful career in non-fiction. I’d be ruined if my clients found out that I have the spelling ability of a toddler. **iiandyiiii** , do you write now and hope it blossoms into a full-time profession? Any advice for someone thinking of dipping his toes into fiction? ---

Yes, I write now (sci-fi and fantasy) – I’ve written 2 novels (after submitting and getting rejected for a year or two, I self-published them) and am finishing my 3rd, along with 4 short stories, one of which was just accepted for publication (my first accepted submission!) in a sci-fi magazine. And I hope very much that I will be able to make it a career one day. Thanks for asking, and congrats on your writing success. What kind of non-fiction do you write? ---
