Dontcha hate it when you can see a train wreck coming and there isnā€™t a damn thing you can do about it? Mom has been waffling back and forth about selling her house and downsizing ever since Dad passed away about four years ago. She finally made up her mind to sell the house late last year, and the house just sold about two weeks ago. Momā€™s moving in with my sister and her family. It might be temporary, it might be permanent. I have a feeling itā€™s not going to last because Mom is completely incapable of telling my nieces ā€œnoā€ no matter what the situation. The younger one is too little to understand yet but the older one knows that ā€œGrannyā€ can be manipulated. I see ugly scenes ahead. Mom has already shown that she will overrule my sisterā€™s wishes when it comes to the kids. Sister wonā€™t stand up for herself, quietly seethes instead. Iā€™ve had to step in at times and tell Mom that Sister doesnā€™t want the kids to do X or Y. Older niece will take advantage of the situation and eventually teach her little sister to do the same. I give it six months before sister blows a gasket and we have to move Mom yet again. ---

Lost stuff, xp, etc. Today, we stopped at Best Buy to get a new mouse. After handling them, I found that I had my choice between 2. The price was the same, the feeling was the same and the options were the same. The only difference between them is that one came in a cardboard box and the other one came in one of those darned plastic clamshells. You know the ones Iā€™m talking aboutā€¦so theft proof that when you get it home it takes 15 minutes of cutting stiff plastic to get it out. I bought the one in the cardboard. Sticks tongue out at plastic clamshell using products. ---

I just fired our vet. Lucky had blood work a week ago and we still havenā€™t gotten the results. Poor Lucky will get more blood work on Monday with a new vet who actually replies to questions. I am so ticked off now. I was supposed to get the results on Thursday, but got a call from the part time vet who only works weekends. The techs told me that vet would call me. No call. I called the after hours line and was promised a call within 20 minutes. That didnā€™t happen either. I am really ticked off now. Actually, now Iā€™m past ticked off. Iā€™m now disputing the charge on our card. Iā€™ll bet that will make someone pay attention. ---

Everything hurts. Iā€™m bloated and achy and crabby. My joints are throbbing and I just want to crawl into a hole. I think this is probably the worst PMS Iā€™ve had. Itā€™s been lasting all week and is only finally beginning to let up. This fucking sucks. To all the women whoā€™ve been dealing with this shit for years, I am so sorry. ---

The vet just called me. Lucky is in full kidney failure. Heā€™s such a young cat, this shouldnā€™t be happening to him. I think that Iā€™m going to go off and drink some of Billā€™s beer. ---

Thanks everyone. We will do this with love and kindness. Plus, heā€™s not going to die tomorrow. Heā€™s still eating and pooping and playing and purring. Iā€™m honestly madder than I am sad. Its just not right, poor kitty boy. I bought some plastic eggs and put bells in them. Great kitty toys, Lucky and Bob have been chasing them around the kitchen all morning. Everything is blooming here. Its beautiful. I canā€™t breath. My eyes are itchy and watery. Something is setting my allergies off worse than cottonwood did. My suffering is extreme. ā˜¹ ---

They used to be prescription, but are now OTC. Makes one hell of a difference with allergy eye symptoms. I got allergy caused conjunctivitis (NOT pink eye. I went to the doc and everything!) the week before I was supposed to renew my driversā€™ license. Thought I would fail the eye test for sure, but the drops cleared it up overnight. And give Lucky some scritches for me.
