Nope. Everyone simply has given up on you. You’ve never shown the least interest in a conversation. All you want to do is pontificate.

No fucking kidding. Of course in this case, it’s not really that hard to see how bad the destruction has been so far. Even with the absence of any official report, or video, it’s pretty fucking obvious that reactor building 4, which had no fuel in the reactor, still blew the fuck up.

How could that happen? It’s obvious. The fuel pond leaked, the rods burned and melted, hydrogen was created, and it blew up. No need to lose containment there, it was the fuel, outside of any containment, that burned, and blew the fucking place apart.

Yet the true believer still wants the world to think it’s not that bad. And that isn’t even the worst problem there.

It’s also funny, that even with the video and still images, of buildings just blown to shit, leaking smoke and steam, that the true believer will say, “Where’s the evidence?”.

Like they can’t be bothered to watch actual images of the place. They demand a ‘cite’, like some religious fruitbag desperate for an argument.

It’s pretty pathetic at this point.

You are insane. The hydrogen explosions are an artifact of the fact that the plant design specifies the injection of hydrogen into the hot loop coolant in prescribed amounts to take up the free radical oxygen created by neutron interactions.

“Hydrogen was created”. No, you dumbass, it was stored on site as part of the mechanisms. We’ve known this since literally day one.

I noticed nobody countered that post. You can’t deny they busted holes in the two reactor buildings that didn’t have active reactors. Hydrogen gas doesn’t build up from fuel ponds that are too hot, you just get boiling water.

It’s why I coined the term ‘nuclear denier’. The true believer just can’t admit that nuclear reactors, and the huge amounts of spent fuel rods, are fucking DANGEROUS.

While a normal human being is concerned over what might happen to the country of Japan, the terror and uncertainty that millions of people have, the grace situation that actually exists, the nuclear denier is scared that something might effect other nuclear reactors.

Which is just ratshit crazy of course.

That level of denial is surprising. Now spent fuel ponds have “neutron interactions” and have to have hydrogen injected into the water.

Tell us more oh nuclear expert. This is brand new information. And please support your fantasy scenario with some scientific sources. This should be good.

This one should be easy. Since “We’ve known this since literally day one”, it will be childs play to link to a source that says that.

Same for “the plant design specifies the injection of hydrogen into the hot loop coolant in prescribed amounts”. Both those claims should be easy as pie to show the class.

And think how stupid it will make me look! A win win.

Anyone want to bet there will never ever be any source quoted, or linked to, or anything really, to back that wild ass claim up?

Anyone?

Naw, I’m not backing anything up to you, the evidence shows it’s like talking to a brick wall.

However, for the intelligent people reading this, I’ll admit I was very slightly misinformed, in that it’s not hydrogen injection (as I had originally understood it) but simple recombination of existing hydrogen and oxygen in the coolant loop, because the BWR design includes provision for that as a method of dealing with the corrosive peroxides and ozones and free radicals that result from high heat + neutron reactions in water. Regardless, the fact that there’s hydrogen buildup sufficient for an explosion is no indication one way or another of the status of the core.

Enjoy a google books cite: [Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry - Gregory Choppin, Jan-Olov Liljenzin, Jan Rydberg - Google Books](http://books.google.com/books?id=0Pr7aMRxLZ8C&pg=PA575&dq=bwr+hydrogen+recombiner&hl=en&ei=NKKlTdDIG8Oitgeutqi-Ag&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CD8Q6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=bwr%20hydrogen%20recombiner&f=false)

Water reactors have hydrogen recombiners in the normal coolant loop for a reason–because the water in the hot loop does decompose into hydrogen and oxygen under the conditions in the coolant loop. It has nothing at all to do with the spent fuel ponds.

What I am told by my nuclear engineer buddy is that the venting was necessary because normally the excess hydrogen/oxygen from the coolant processing loop is vented by a system that requires power (as the entire cooling system does) and it built up enough during the outage and crisis situation that venting it fast was deemed better than venting it via the normal methods.

Nice dodge. Of course you can’t back up anything you claimed, because it is nonsense. Much like most of the wild claims and hysterical nonsense being spewed forth by the defenders of the true nuclear faith.

I mentioned elsewhere I wasn’t serious, because indeed to take you seriously would be madness. The constant stream of vile personal asides don’t take the place of a scientific discourse, no matter what your troll buddies say.

Just because you say it, that doesn’t mean anything. Unlike official reports and findings from scientific persons, and official reports and shit like that.
