Sounds like Real Nigga Roll Call by Li’l John & Ice Cube. Pretty much every line of the first couple verses ends the same. In short, the answer probably depends on whom you’re asking. Within the black community, the answer to your question is generally yes, although there are many (usually older) blacks who don’t tolerate either. ---

[/QUOTE] You as a white dude hangin’ in the ATL should not use either in polite society. 🙂 Yes, many young black people would say that “nigga” is like gay people or university academics saying “queer”, while “nigger” is like my dad calling our cashier at Target “as queer as a football bat”. Others would disagree. ---

For some reason I thought the OP was describing “Sucka Nigga” by A Tribe Called Quest. But there’s no “motherfuckers” in it. That song isn’t a gangsta rap song; it’s a study of the entomology of the word. ---

My guess… Public Enemy- [I Don’t Want To Be Called Yo’ Nigga](http://www.lyricsdepot.com/public-enemy/i-dont-wanna-be-called-yo-nigga.html) -note Flavor repeats the word 7x after he spells it out. It is meant to be offensive; it is Flavor Flav doing what he was always meant to be doing- parodying. Parodying the use of the word in rap, the hype men of rap, the ridiculous materialism in rap. He has since become a parody of himself obviously, but at one time he was on the good side of that ironic fence. ETA: \*\*Asimovian \*\* already called it.
