Rape, Yes, Yes, Yes, um. No. Rape?

Oh good grief, vasyachkin. Riding a bus ain’t sex.

Well, since many people would suffer great injury from being thrown out a window, I daresay that a lot of them wouldn’t like it. But how does this relate to sex?

Care to provide any cites comparing being thrown out of a bus window to being expected to (horrors!) cease having sex suddenly? How are these two things similar? Does one usually go to the emergency room to be checked out after they’ve had to stop having sex in the middle of the act?

I mean, really.

Cheesesteak, I haven’t studied judo. I’m also female and short. I have very little doubt that a man who was determined to do so could keep me sitting on top of him, despite what I’d like to believe. Mind you, my instinct is to fight when I’m afraid, which I don’t think is all that typical of teenage girls. Yes, I think it’s possible for him to have controlled her, although finding out could be a fun experiment, in the right circumstances.

I still think the girl was rather foolish and indecisive, and she should certainly have said “Stop” or “No” rather than “I have to go home.” I also think the guy’s a complete jerk. Sometimes there is no right side. Sigh!

cjhoworth, you’re right, a determined man can hold you down, but not by grabbing your hips, certainly not with one arm in a cast. It’s about leverage, your legs are almost certainly much stronger than his arms, especially if his arms are somewhat extended. He needs to either take your legs out entirely (by being on top himself) or wrap up your entire upper torso in a bear hug type thing. If he doesn’t control your torso, you can just lean back, lift your hips a bit, and you’re gone, right past his legs.

You know, I’ve been seriously thinking about testing this out with a girl I’ve just started seeing, but it could be a bit freaky

Anyway, my point isn’t that he couldn’t control her at all, but that it should have taken a level of effort not described. I sort of feel like Columbo, when he sees that one thing he doesn’t ‘get’ and can’t let it rest until he explains it. Maybe it’s just her description that is the problem, and if I were a fly on the wall, I’d be calling for his head.

That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell for me, too. In this specific case, it seems to me that there is no right side, especially given the shaky descriptions. Well said.
