I am surprised at some of the posts in this thread. Condemning the victim for fighting back and counseling “pursue justice through proper channels” isn’t, unfortunately, a recent thing. It has been almost 60 years to the day since MLK penned the Letter from the Birmingham Jail. > _…First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. This isn’t some random celebrity encounter he’s trying to cash in on, though, this is criticism of the government, which is kinda the top level of free speech. I saw him in concert last year. He was hilarious. The bulk of the crowd was Millennials. Before the encore which was clearly going to be Because I Got High he said, “ok kids, I sang this song to you parents and your grandparents”. I was like “you sang it to _me_ mother fucker”. ---
