I don’t know a single song of her I could recommend, but Gianna Nannini has nails for breakfast. These I like: Marla Glen - [Run and hide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5oBFn3RBZ4) Sam Brown - [Stop](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4yOa3tBrB8) Cassandra Wilson - [Fragile](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4RA36rN2RY) Teréz Montcalm - [Voodoo Child](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEYtC1g1jZU) (really interesting cover) Mariska Veres of Shocking Blue might fit the bill - [The long and lonesome Road](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLcPCad3ZOw) and maybe even Daliah Lavi - [Here’s to you](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzReIk682bQ) (a curiosity in English, French and German) Her content is blocked here, but Melanie Safka (_Ruby Tuesday_) has quite a raspy voice. ---

Eliza Gilkyson – [Think About You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMFiPeLrksw) or [The Party’s Over](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwwPfzTv9oY). Or really, anything from _Beautiful World_ or _Paradise Hotel_. Or a blast from the 80’s: Ferron’s _Shadow’s on a Dime_.
