_Free Enterprise_ was a hell of a lot funnier than _Trekkies_, which was actually just kinda sad.

THANK YOU! I’ve been trying to remember which movie that was for months. Netflix, here I come.

1. _The Undiscovered Country_
2. _The Voyage Home_
3. _The Wrath of Khan_
4. _First Contact_
5. _Nemesis_
6. _The Search for Spock_
7. _Insurrection_
8. _The Final Frontier_
9. _Generations_
10. _The Motion Picture_

Also… _Galaxy Quest_ is no more a Trek movie than _Space Balls_ is a _Star Wars_ movie. It’s a great spoof and I like it more than _The Final Frontier_, _Generations_, and _The Motion Picture_ but it’s not a part of the franchise.

</div>

Yeah, but Galaxy Quest is better than Star Trek, even on Star Trek’s own level.

I said as much in my post by saying I liked it better than three of the movies in the franchise… what was the point in your reiteration? Aside from that, it being better than half or even all of the franchise _still_ doesn’t make it a part of the series.

It’s a humorous spoof. That’s it.

</div>

All I meant was , usually spoof is good on a different level than the movie/s it is based. Galaxy Quest would actually be a better Star Trek movie than a lot of the series.

Oops–I misunderstood the OP and rated them each on a 1-to-10 scale. So here’s how I would rank them:
The Motion Picture-4
The Wrath of Khan-2
Search for Spock-3
Voyage Home-1
Final Frontier-10
Undiscovered Country-6
Generations-7
First Contact-8
Insurrection-5
Nemesis-9

_sigh_ … everybody always under-rates _ **Star Trek: The Motion Picture** _.

Sure, it’s not an action-packed edge-of-your-seat thrill ride. It’s not **supposed** to be. It’s a stately, majestic, awe-filled voyage of discovery, like _ **2001: A Space Odyssey** _ except with original music.

Though the line about the Enterprise being “the only ship in the vicinity” even though it was docked in Earth orbit sure made me groan. (They pulled that same stunt again in _ST:Generations_, and it was just as hard to swallow the second time.)

Well, I saw Nemesis on the weekend. Other than the final battle scene, it was incredibly boring. I was quite dissapointed. It’d rate just above ST:5, but barely.

Well, of course. _Nemesis_ could never hope to match the grandeur of _Star Trek: The Motion Picture_.

1. my all-time favorite and the most quotable: Wrath of Khan
2. First Contact
3. Voyage home
4. Search for Spock
5. Undiscovered country
6. Nemesis (I liked this much more the second time around)
7. Generations
8. the Motion Picture
9. Insurrection
10. final frontier

1 Kahn
2 Home
3 Country
4 Spock
5 First Contact
6 Generations
7 STTMP
8 Nemesis
9 Insurrection
10 Final Frontier

Anything after the first 3 are crap, though.
