I think a lot of people are grossly underestimating the degree to which they’re recognized. As an aside, this is a poll question that was \*dying \*to be public. Missed opportunity. ---

I put “A few : 3-10” Although I could as easily have put “Some 20+” since I think the real answer probably lies in the teens, and this wasn’t on the list. ---

I guess there are probably a few posters who have earned the right to say something in the single digits, but for most of you who said 20 or fewer, it’s probably like 500. I’m pretty sure I recognize every single username (as in am aware that I’ve seen it before) and I have some kind of a mental encyclopedia entry or a general impression for more than 9 out of 10 posters in this thread, even if the impression might be based on a single post or thread. Either way, some serious underestimating going on. I bet I could freak some of you out with dark secrets from a bygone age. The internet is a terrifying place. ---

I went with “a couple”. I know there are some people I’ve had rows with or offended (inadvertently, nearly every time!), so they may remember me. A couple of people friended me, and I tend to wade in when England gets mentioned. Mostly I think I’m pretty dull, though, so I don’t think I’ll have made an impression in the short time I’ve been around. ---

I’d say that most of the people here, at least the ones who have been here for years and have 1000+ posts, should really chose the _Most 100+_ option. Just about everybody knows you! You aren’t giving yourselves enough credit. Many of you are very memorable. ---
