RE: "A plane is standing on a runway. . ." No, it's not. Here's why.

Of course, on many aircraft the prop is powered by a jet.

Alas, it’s not that simple. Unless the wheel was installed by the Frobozz Magic Frictionless Bearings Company, there will be some backward force on the plane. However, unless the treadmill itself was built by the Frobozz Magic Frictionless Treadmill Company and the Frobozz Magic Unlimited-Power Treadmill Engine Company, it probably can’t get up enough speed to stop the plane from taking off.

In my case, I stand in the corner - and when racing I corner around the stands.

Seriously, can anyone here believe they really still have something to add to this discussion? Let’s give the hamsters a break.

I propose a new board rule. Anyone starting or bumping a “Plane on a Treadmill” thread will be immediately suspended for one week on a first offense. Second offense, immediate banning, posthumously.

What if you could trade the plane for what’s behind door #3?

OK, you first. You resuscitated this thread after it had been dead for 39 minutes. Shame on you.

And you next. You resurrected it after about 15 hours… Aww Shit, I just committed my second offense! Well, it’s been nice knowing you all. Just think of me being in a better place, now. It will make the grieving process go easier for you. :(:(:frowning:

That was TOO funny!!!

Sorry.
