Ok, this might’ve been done before, but this is my first attempt at starting a thread, so bear with me. This is something my friends and I stumbled upon a few years ago with Warner Brothers characters, and it was fun. So here we go… Luke Skywalker - Sylvester’s son (Oh, father…) Princess Leia - the French cat (Le Mew…) Han Solo - Daffy Duck Chewbaaca - The Tazmanian Devil Lando Calrissian - Pepe Le Pew (although Wile E Coyote is a possibility, just so he can hold up a sign that says “We can still save Han” while being choked by Chewie…) Obi Wan Kenobi - Foghorn Leghorn (Use, I say, use the FORCE, boy!) Yoda - Bugs The Emperor - Yosemite Sam Darth Vader - Elmer Fudd (Wuke! I am your Fodder!) Darth Vader, with the helmet off - Sylvester Stormtroopers - Freeze Dried Martians (just add water) Grand Moff Tarkin - Marvin the Martian (I’m going to blow it up…) Wedge - Speedy Gonzalez Any actors are fair game, living, dead, or animated. Robot Arm, you are a genius…although I still lean towards Daffy as Han, just for the sarchasm and cynicism… And let’s not forget the Abominable Snowman’s cameo on Hoth “Gosh, George, why’d you go and lop my arm off like that? That’s not very nice…” And Sam has to be the Emperor, just for the scene where Vader throws him down the reactor core “Rakem-frakem-@##^%^#^\*#%@!$!!! Oooohh, I HATE Jedi…” And can’t you just see that bright red moustache sticking out from the Emperor’s hood? ---

Some of your suggestions I love (mmmmmm, Gore babe in metal bikini), though others I don’t agree with. First of all, Ken Starr is NOT Luke. Luke was an innocent, country boy coming of age and growing into a jedi knight. Ken Starr is a big-time corporate lawyer on an investigative rampage. I realize that it’s near impossible to find an actual innocent in Washington, but Gore has at least some of the characteristics, and I liked the Bill Clinton father/son concept thing. In a spirit of compromise, I’ll offer Bill Bradley. I also don’t see Ronnie as Han. How 'bout George Bush Senior in his fighter pilot days. I’m going to have to stand firm on Albright as Chewie. Just picture her without a pin and with a bandolier. It’s perfect. I was really reaching to find a Lando. I’ll take Packwood. I can just see Reagan as the old, grizzled, slightly addled Yoda, but I’ll take Hilary. I’ll also take Lieberman as the Emperor (or as Elmer Fudd, for that matter) I Really don’t think that Gore will do for Vader. Yes, he might be part robot (and he did wheeze a lot during the first debate), but he doesn’t have the pure singlminded drive for Evil that you need to make a good Vader. Perhaps we can fit Ken Starr in here – a former jedi consumed with the lust for power determined to chase down the rebels to the end of the universe no matter who he has to destroy or indict (and how much taxpayer money he has to spend) to do so. Young Republicans would make perfect storm troopers, and I’d accept Dubya as R2D3. Reno, however, is not C3P0 by any margin. C3P0 was a slim protocol droid – always proper – just like Warren Christopher. I could see Janet Reno as one of the officers on the Death Star, perhaps, or a rebel general, but not as C3P0. ---

I was also thinking Bush Sr. as Han. I wanted to go with that youthful exuberance that I think that Ronnie had. Herbert will do. The Ken Starr suggestion was only to fit the “Luke as a whiner” role. But I don’t think that either Gore or Bradley has the combination of ambition and innocence. Maybe Dubya, but I like to picture him as R2D2 when he gets hit by the Jawas. Back to Luke later. I’ll give you Albright. But I still think Phil Hartman as Lloyd Bentson would be perfect in the suit for the voice. Ken would make a good Vader. Reno as Admiral Tarkin? ---

Connor - HRP’s would-be veep was Admiral Jim Stockdale. Hartman did a great impression, but he really only got to do it once. I don’t think anyone got to see the second one, Pat Choate. Lloyd Bentsen was Mike Dukakis’ running mate. As for the Looney Tunes version… Bugs as Luke. Finally, a use for all that sand on Tatooine. He can burrow in it. Yosemite Sam as Darth Vader. “IIIIII’m Darth Sam, the roughest toughest he-man stuffest Sith Lord in all the galaxy. And I ain’t no palsy-walsy!” Porky as Yoda. "St-st-st-strong in the F-the F-the F-the Force you are, but concen-concent-concentr- concentrate you m-m-m-m-m-m…aw, SWING IT! Foggie as Obi-Wan. Daffy as Han. Taz as Chewie. Well, I decided agianst Q because he’s not really evil. He’s just a part of a race of interdimensional beings with seemingly paranormal powers. Not really evil. Plus. Vader turned good at the very end, Khan did not. ---

As far as Looney Toons go, I’m torn between Wile E Coyote and the Chicken Hawk as Boba Fett. I love the idea of Fett’s rocket-pack featuring a great big ACME label, but also Fett’s helmet with the tiny body sticking out the bottom is a funny visual too… As for the politicians, how’s about we let them play the populace of Alderaan?
