Welcome to the Straight Dope Message Boards, **Coolbreezy** , we’re glad you found us. When you start a thread, it’s helpful to other readers to provide a link to the column you’re commenting on. Saves searching time and helps keep us on the same page. In this case (I assume) it’s: [Why does the peanut bag say, "Remove shell before consuming nutmeats"? - The Straight Dope](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/685/why-does-the-peanut-bag-say-remove-shell-before-consuming-nutmeats)

No biggie, you’ll know for next time. And, as I say, welcome!
