I suspected that the dude from the phone company who’d told me I was getting my router by mail was wrong, and indeed he was: it’s via a courier. When I got the SMS telling me I’d be getting it today, I called to ask whether they could deliver it today after 6 or tomorrow after 2pm, and they said it would be today after 6, yay. I just got a call from the guy doing the delivery, he had to deliver another router to my building and the neighbor said she’d hold mine if I agreed so he wouldn’t need to come over just for that. I thanked “both of you!” and re-yay for good courier companies and good neighbors. So I should have internet today and I’m getting my bed and the two butane bottles tomorrow. The heater is the only thing that uses butane, and given our current maxes of 36-40 I haven’t missed it (if I shower when I get home, the “cold” water is actually a bit too hot), but still it is better to have it. ---

Well, I _was_ going to whine about tripping last night and landing on my knees (yee-outch!), but I just found out a tornadie missed my sister last night by about two miles. She was without power for a while, and still doesn’t have a landline phone, but all are well, and her only personal damage is the need to fish the lawn furniture from the pool. Third time for furniture fishing in 2 weeks, too. She said the flying monkeys were out in force. Happy Birthday, y’all! My dog Ernie got sick last night, too. Mr Rebo cleaned it up before I woke up. I don’t know which end it came out of. Last day of class. Hallelujah. I can’t take that much learning anymoer, I’m getting too old. 😉 I upped my dose of the new drug last night, and I feel ok this morning. No nausea. So _that’s_ good! I went to the local produce stand and got two watermelons, one regular and one seedless and two really nice canteloupes. All locally grown! The canteloupe is teh num! I usually don’t eat it unless it’s cold but I et me two slices of it when I cut it up just cause it smelled soooooo good! OYKW lurves him some canteloupe so he’ll be all happy. Heh. He’s gettin’ the chicken nachos he requested for dindin plus I have fresh canteloupe for him. Guess we know who’ll get “appreciated”! 😉 ---

I’m reasonably sure that, although **Muppet** and **picu** share a birthday, they did not share their first. If they do, **picu** is younger than I thought. _ **Happy Happy Nurse and Muppet Day Day!!!** _ Hot hot hot here - 99 at Nat’l Airport and 100 at BWI. There’s a line of t-storms moving our way, but they’re moving so fast, I don’t hold out much hope for good rain. Oh well. Our vacation clothes arrived - shorts and shirts - YAY! I need to wash them all to get that new-clothes smell out. I expect to do lots of laundry this weekend. And a week from today, we’ll be going to Mom’s for the night before heading farther north. Hot dogs for supper. And Amish corn on the cob.
