Hi all. I just wanted to come by to say tomorrow is my birthday (64) last night we went to one of our favorite hangouts. My husband told the bartender about this being my birthday week and asked him how old he thought I was. He said …42! Another bartender said 38! When I look in the mirror I see 64, maybe more. I have tiny little baby tomatoes on both my beefsteak and my heirloom tomato!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!! I’ve been waiting and watching and looking and waiting and I finally saw them this morning. What’s **Muppet** been up to lately? I don’t remember seeing her recently, but I’ve been busy so I could have missed a post somewhere. I’ve been busy baking. I have a pecan cake with a chocolate glaze to bring in to work today. I’m going to taste it before offering to post the recipe. 🙂 I found a recipe for [chocolate malt cupcakes](http://orangette.blogspot.com/2006/05/second-times-cupcake.html) yesterday that sound really good. I may have to try that soon. Not baking, but smitten kitchen’s [crushed peas with smoked sesame dressing](http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/06/crushed-peas-with-smoky-sesame-dressing/#more-6428) sounds really good too! ---

I’ve been cave tidyin’. One must keep one’s abode resonably sanitary after all! Also, I have dindin started. Meanin’ I shelled and cooked some peas and butterbeans. Dindin shall also include new **N.O.T.** in white sauce, steamed squishes and cornbread. Oh and grilled poke chops. I be in a cookin’ mood! I heard runnin’ water earlier today. This was before it was time for the pool to run so my first thought was the pool timer done got itself all fubar again. It sometimes happens after a storm but there was no storm. Anywho, it was not the pool. I checked all the outside faucets to see if one was on for any reason. Nope. Nuttin’ anywhere indicated any kind of leak or anything. Then I looked over the back fence. My backyard neighbors’ above ground pool had sprung a leak and water was goin’ everywhere in their yahd! :eek: They turned off the pool pump a few minutes later and as of now the pool is bein’ drained. I feel sorry for 'em. I don’t think one can repair a leaky above ground pool but I could be wrong. Hey, it was entertainment for a while! 😃 Oh, and an across the street neighbor is havin’ a hissy over my next door neighbor’s chainlink fence. See, it’s ok to chainlink fence your backyahd but the part of the fence that faces the road is supposed to be wood accordin’ the the neighborhood covenants we all pretty much ignore. So the hissy fittin’ neighbor was goin’ around knockin’ on doors to complain/get up a petition. That is until I reminded him that even if anybody did give a crap about the “neighborhood covenants” it should not concern him because he is not a part of the HOA we allegedly have due to the fact that said HOA begins on my side of the road and extends back to the houses behind mine and my next door neighbors and as I already said, we don’t give a crap. His response was he doesn’t like lookin’ at a chainlink fence. My advice to him was don’t stare at the neighbor’s house then. :rolleyes: Dumbass! I mean, to even notice it you pretty much have to be standin’ on the road lookin’ directly at the fence. Maybe dumbass will do that and get run over. That’d be greater neighborhood entertainment than leaky above ground pools! 😃 ---

Kennywood Park is hosting 400 rabid rollercoaster freaks and just last night had to announce that their brand-new-shiny coaster will be up and running --------- next week after everyone has gone home to their respective towns and countries. If I can work out the license agreement for the pitchfork and burning torch concession I’ll be retiring early and buying drinks for all the Mumpers. In other words, it ain’t real pretty. 🙂 ---

\*\*Rebo \*\*- I’ve tried taking several GD&T classes. My spousal unit has taught GD&T. I’ve got a mental block - I just can’t make it make sense. Guess it’s a good thing I’m not doing design or drafting work any longer. I did get some work today, tho. My boss wanted to know if I could get it done before vacation. I got more than half of it done today. Go me! 😃 Zumba class tonight. With luck, it won’t kill me. Oh, speaking of which - someone at work put in a suggestion that they put portable defibrillators throughout our buildings. I got the giggles with this mental image of people running thru the halls yelling “Clear” _bzzzzzzzzzzzzap!!_😃 Tomorrow is no-dress-code-day! It’s technically our all-hands clean up and shred-a-thon event. We’re supposed to shred whatever we don’t need any longer. For me, that was virtually everything. I keep my work on the various network drives, so I don’t have to worry about keeping track of classified material. We’re also supposed to get rid of old training materials we don’t need or old crap that’s just lying around. So we need to plan to be grubby. Such is my exciting life. Is it Firday yet?? ---
