Real Estate Question - Secret rooms?

As for whether the real estate agents would know about it, presumably it depends on where the room was, and how carefully they drew up their floorplans.

If you had a hidden room between other rooms in the house, then it would become obvious when you drew the floorplan that the rooms on either side didn’t meet where they should.

Of course, if it was underground, or even in the roof space, that wouldn’t be relevant.

The sort of big fancy fat-cat houses which have safe rooms are often pretty architecturally complex. Lots of exterior ins & outs. Different footprints on different floors, etc.

So it’d be relatively easier to skip a hidden room in one of those where you mistakenly think a wall is an exterior wall when it’s not.

In generic suburban frame houses, including McMansions, not so much.
