The jaded and cynical among us might unfairly conclude the reason Trump has refused to attend the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner is simply because he was afraid of being made fun of, but the more enlightened among us recognize he’s not at all thin skinned, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and is usually the first to laugh heartily at jokes told at his own expense. No one loves a good roast more than him. Which begs the question what are the _real_ reasons he doesn’t want to attend. Anyone care to speculate? ---

Because he’s working hard. Lots of work to do, running the country, cleaning up the mess it’s currently in. That’s why he was voted into office, to do the job. ---

What’s weird is Trump says he was one of the best baseball players in New York when he was young. In fact, I defy you to name a better ball player in NYC in the 1950s than Donald Trump!
