At this point ,when you’re determined to find fault just to entertain yourself, it’s easy to arm chair quarterback. Chimera was offering to fix it and tried to explain even over and through the screaming. At that point it’s the customers responsibility as an adult that needs to communicate to solve the problem, to at least listen. Even if you’re initially pissed off at the word sell, and can’t cancel, at some point you have to calm down at least enough to hear the proposed solution. If you’re unable to control yourself even that much, it’s your own fucking fault.

Your scammer bosses at least got to keep the money they stole from their customers but they may have even had a shred of moral fiber left, enough that they didn’t want to face their victims. But they had YOU, their little minimum wage minion, who had no compunctions about telling YOUR customers “Nah Nah Nah we stole your money and there’s nothin you can do” and it sounds like yiu did it very gleefully for minimum wage instead of walking out the second realized you were working for criminals.
Imagine for one second that you came down with a serious illness and called your insurer and they said " we know you paid your premiums but we took your money and spent it and we’re not going to fix your cancer for free Nah Nah Nah.
You have mentioned this comprehension issue a few times in this thread but Chimera had pretty well invited people’s conjecture by omitting details in her OP.
If a man attacks you for no reason then he’s batshit crazy and definitely in the wrong.
I a man attacks you because you harassed him, he’s still in the wrong but most any bystander would ask you, “Why did you give him a reason to attack you?”
It’s pretty obvious that the customer was overboard with her response but what wasn’t obvious was whether or not the customer had the right to be angry about the encounter.
A processing mistake by the company was an irritant but really nothing that warranted anger. But Chimera’s statement about selling a another plan opened the possibility that maybe there was additional cost or time penalties imposed on the customer. I asked Chimera for a few simple clarifications that she finally got around to answering 3 days later.
Not providing information pretty well fueled the pile on.
If I were to proudly announce in an OP that I beat up a guy half my size and then left the thread to itself, it would be filled with pile on comments about me.
It would continue when I came back in to the thread and talked about how I’m a tough guy and know how to beat up people that deserve it and he deserved it. Continue why? Because nobody knows if he deserved it.
Then three days later I make a statement that I beat the guy up because he was attacking orphans holding puppies.
So I did the right thing but by the time the full story is told I end up looking like a jerk for not telling the story right in the first place.
I don’t know how you can read the OP, make an assumption that “selling another plan” didn’t possibly cost the customer more time and money, read further into the thread and see others ask questions about that, and then come to the conclusion that thread participants had reading comprehension problems.
Yeah, I assume most big businesses are doing all manners of shitty and underhanded crap, at all times. I still do business with them, and I did business for them. As for not being bothered by it, I don’t go around trying to prove how ‘bothered’ I am by everything every company I ever worked for did. Fuck that. Yup. Someone referred to me as a she several days ago and I failed to instantly appear and refute it, so obviously my entire case is invalid and I’m a petty tyrant who gets off on hanging up on people and abusing what little power I’ve given on my job.
