# Reality Survey:  Are we living in the Matrix

Why does it matter? Would you do something about it if we WERE in a Matrix? Would you “Free” us from this Matrix? Would the knowledge change anything, except maybe piss you off?

Pepperlandgirl: The answer does not matter to me other than an intellectual curiousity. But I still find the question interesting. I was just curious if others took the question seriously.

Well, let me tweak that answer. If I knew with certainty that I was “living” in a Matrix like world or something like the Truman Show where people were watching my life for entertainment, I might start doing things a little differently. I might start doing monologues in my bathroom mirror…more often that is.

But as long as the evidence for “real reality” and “simulated reality” remains in a deadlock of unknowability, I will continue to base my decisions upon the effects of reality upon me, whether those effects are simulated or not.
