And what of the soul?  
Will you chase it down the rain plastered  
streets, slick with degradation - the detritus  
of a thousand empty  
barstools  
at  
midnight?

You will follow the ghost  
of the dancing  
blind roughneck  
to the sulfur fields  
of your own destruction  
where, without explanation  
he will mutter  
your  
name…
