I personally liked (and still do to this day) NBC’s Proud N logo of 1979-86, and I still think that such was the best of NBC’s logos (outside of the similar, yet quite different, early peacock). You can find both here:

> The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) has used several corporate logos over the course of its history. The first logo was used in 1926 when the radio network began operations. Its most famous logo, the peacock, was first used in 1956 to highlight the network's color programming. While it has been in use in one form or another for all but four years since then, the peacock did not become part of NBC's main logo until 1979 and did not become the network's sole logo until 1987. I don’t know about cool, but I still think [it](http://rabidrenaissance.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d32vbyi) turned out pretty good. Eventually. After I had marinated in procrastination for so long that my fingers and toes pruned.

That one is interesting. Makes me think of the [Expos](http://www.strictlyfitteds.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/montreal-expos-fitted-cap-design_1.jpg)logo. M for Montreal, b for baseball and e for Expos.

There’s a home repair/remodeling company here in Atlanta.

I see their trucks now and then, and always liked their clever [logo](http://www.sawhorse.net/).

I’m partial to the one for US Bank. It’s kind of a stretch, but the red patch sticks down just a bit like Texas does on a map of the US, and the end ‘k’ sticks up, down, and out just a bit like Maine and Florida do. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s intentional.

I’ve always loved [this logo of the Minnesota Twins](http://www.sportslogos.net/logo.php?id=j99k3cvpkhehnf9hbwjttn2f1), with Minneapolis and St. Paul holding hands across the river.

Are you sure that’s real, and not from a photoshop contest or something?
