First up - **Projammer** I want a trophy for starting a non-Trump Pit thread. Onwards to the Pitting In this recent [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=20323103#post20323103) on the gender breakdown of members on the Dope, we find this sterling interchange. Somehow I doubt these same posters would be making jokes, if the poll were about the breakdown by race, about how some of the white posters would need to share black posters. Let’s all try to be better than the society that made us. Agreed that such nonsense should be cut out. Not the end of the world, and not the end of the world to say “cut that shit out”. ---

This thread is eye opening. It’s really not that hard to not be an asshole – even when you slip up, it’s no big deal if you apologize for it and try to learn from it. It’s a shame that some folks are too stubborn to consider this. ---
