This is a quote that occurs in numerous cartoons from the 1940’s.

It’s typically said in some pseudo-Southern accent, generally by a female character.

Apparently it is some reference to some movie.

The obvious guess is “Gone With the Wind,” but I don’t recall that line–and I _was_ looking for it.

Any ideas???

I always thought it was a line one used when doing a Kate Hepburn impersonation. Kinda like “Judy, Judy, Judy” for Cary Grant.

Yup, me too…that’s classic Hepburn from one of the really early movies.

Don’t know the source of “rahlly, I do”
but the other cartoon Kate line, “the calla lilies are in bloom again,” comes from _Stage Door_.
