In a discussion with a friend of the dope today, I requested further information on actor **Nick Chinlund** who played Toombs in The Chronicles of Riddick, but more importantly to ME, played Matthew Brodus on Law and Order SVU, a serial killer/rapist who liked to blind women with ice picks, cut them open and sleep inside their dead bodies. And for the life of me, I couldn’t refrain from watching that episode and saying “But damn, everyone…he’s pretty sexy.” I’ve since been informed that he also played an ultra creepy guy named Donnie Pfaster on X-Files…a guy who gave his victims baths and washed their hair for them. Now hold the phone. That’s hot. Real hot. I’ve not seen X-Files ever in my life, but a creepy kidnapper washing a girl’s hair. HOT. Big time. So what are some really creepy characters that you’re sort of half ashamed to admit you have a little crush on. ---

Angelus is so bad. Like, the most evil vampire in all of the world. The Buffyverse’s greatest mass murderer. Remember what he did to the puppy? To Willow’s fish? He’s so fucking hot I can’t even stand it. Evil!Spike. Pre-soul, pre-chip…Oh, I like all of the Spikes. Every single second featuring Spike I love. But S2 Spike was so mmmmmmm. And bad. But mmmmmmmmm. I liked the end of **Hannibal** , the book. I thought it made absolute perfect sense, and probably the author couldn’t have ended it any other way. Because Hannibal Lector is hot. And very bad. But hot. ---

Related to _Law and Order: SVU_ … Chris Meloni in almost anything, but especially as serial murderer/vicious brute Chris Keller on _Oz_. The guy betrayed and broke both arms of his lover, Tobias Beecher, and still Toby couldn’t keep his hands off him. Who could blame Toby? Keller had chemistry with everyone, male or female, including Sister Pete and the poor putz who fellated him only to get his neck broken for his trouble. _Mmm … Keller._ Oh another nasty but oh, so sexyl character would be Lucas Buck, the servant of Satan and small-town sherrif on _American Gothic_, played by vastly underrated Gary Cole. Buck ruled over ‘his people’ and could be generous … as long as people knew who was boss. If not, he sent them straight to hell in a handbasket – like the snoop whom he tied up, stuffed in a box and left to be eaten alive by flesh-eating beetles. Even so, Lucas’s swagger, Southern charm, and certainty of his own power made him quite the ladies’ man. Yum. Funny thing is, I usually don’t go for the ‘bad boy’ type. On _Buffy_ I went for Xander, not Spike or Angelus. My favorite character on _Oz_ was relatively nice guy Toby, and on _American Gothic_ it was beleaguered good guy doctor Matt Crower. But I still appreciated Keller and Buck’s evil, evil hotness. Oh my, yes I did. ---

I hate it when people mention characters no one else has ever heard of in these threads but I’m gonna break my own rule this time and do it. There was a character named Six in a Max Barry book called _Syrup_. She was a total unforgiving bitch and I loved her. I actually emailed back and forth with the author a little bit and mentioned this and he said that was exactly how he wanted the reader to feel about that character but no one else got it. ---

I never got that much into _American Gothic_, although I tried really hard to. I do agree 100% that Gary Cole is criminally underrated. He got so much street cred from being in _Office Space_ and _Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law_ that now I’ll go see a movie just because he’s in it. And that’s it. Damn. Okay, since we’re being all confessional, I guess I have to admit this: that scene in _Office Space_, where Ron Livingston’s character is imagining Nordberg having sex with Jennifer Aniston’s character.
