[QUOTE=Autumn Almanac]
A menu that only contains one ‘type’ of food-- like only seafood or only pasta. I like to be able to mull over different options when I decide what to order.

I’m just the opposite here. If a menu has too many options, I wonder how much of it is being microwaved. Some Iowa truck stops are like this – six or seven pages, hundreds of choices – how good (and fresh) can it be?

I’ll stay away from restaurants that have dirty windows and dirty glass doors.

There was an Asian place in Seattle that I loved, mostly for their Singapore Fried Rice Noodles, which I’d call ahead and order, and pick up on my way home. One Saturday night I talked hubby into going there. We sat down and ordered, and a giant cockroach crawled down the wall and walked across our table. We left. I never ate from there again, and never found noodles like that anywhere else.

Happened to us once in a Denny’s. My mom was sitting on the opposite site of the booth from me and my brother when she noticed us both doing this: :eek:

There was a cockroach climbing over the top of the seat heading for her shoulder! Screaming ensued and we all rapidly departed.
