I’m just the opposite here. If a menu has too many options, I wonder how much of it is being microwaved. Some Iowa truck stops are like this – six or seven pages, hundreds of choices – how good (and fresh) can it be?
I’ll stay away from restaurants that have dirty windows and dirty glass doors.
There was an Asian place in Seattle that I loved, mostly for their Singapore Fried Rice Noodles, which I’d call ahead and order, and pick up on my way home. One Saturday night I talked hubby into going there. We sat down and ordered, and a giant cockroach crawled down the wall and walked across our table. We left. I never ate from there again, and never found noodles like that anywhere else.
