[This excellent cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmn1NvnOqb4)of the GAME OF THRONES theme music as done in the 80s has me wondering: if the books had premiered 25 years earlier and the show had been a big budget 1980s offering, who would it have starred? Ricardo Montalban has to be in there somewhere. Perhaps as Ser Barristan Selmy. Special guest stars Lorne Greene as Maester Aemon and Victor French as King Robert Barratheon. ---

One of the agreements made in filming this show was that, whenever possible, actors from the surrounding areas of filming would be utilized. (i.e. UK, Ireland, etc). Are we not assuming that with the '80s show? Because many of these choices wouldn’t fit the bill. ---
