Adam West is the only man who could out-Shatner Shatner. And the _Batman_ guest stars give us Vincent Price as the eggheaded science officer, Burgess Meredith as the cantankerous doctor, Bruce Lee as the combat-expert helmsman, and Eartha Kitt handling communications – with Frank Gorshin down in engineering [del]and black on the right side[/del]. Oh, and Burt Ward swaps in as Chekov, naturally. Not to mention Victor Buono as Harry Mudd. As well as Julie Newmar as Nurse Chapel. Plus Malachi Throne as José Mendez. And Yvonne Craig as Orion slavegirl. I can do this all day. ---

At an anime convention in the early 1980’s I saw a wonderful short that I haven’t been able to track down since. All the scenes were an abbreviated editing of ST:TNG’s _Encounter at Farpoint_. All the vocal tracks were from _Duck Dodgers of the 25 1/2 Century_, Picard was Duck Dodgers, Ryker was 1st Mate Porky Pig. Q was Marvin the Martian. It was seamless and hilarious. After that I could never see Ryker look at Picard again, without remember him saying “B-b-b-b-b-big deal.” ---
