# Recent event with regards to the SDMB make me fucking ill

If you don’t know what I am talking about, I apologize. I was writing an email to TubaDiva and others and my stupid computer decided to reboot unexpectedly. At this point I don’t desire to write them or make this a “private little thing.”
This has to do with **Dex** and his/her (sorry as long as I have been on the boards I still don’t don’t know what gender **Dex** is.)
However, I must contend that **Dex** (and I am doing this on my own accord, surely to risk banning and frankly I don’t fucking care…) **Dex** owes a public apology to certain parties as of late for a certain thread that defamed (sp) the character of one of our fellow members.
I apologize to the member with which this started but I am completely pissed off that **Dex** doesn’t have the balls to step up to the court and show that this board is more than just a board and do a public apology for being a fucking ass.
I am doing this and I know I shouldn’t as I pulled someone else from doing this but God Damnit…it was rumored that he/she would step up to the plate but hasn’t…if he/she has done so then I apologize but right now I want to see an admin taken from his/her duties and understand that I am pissed off as are many on the boards.
It’s fucking bullshit. You call someone out, I haven’t seen an apology, that I have read and yet we are to go about our fun times on the board and an admin is allowed to be a fucking asshole.
Assholes I can deal with but when they include the admins of this board I have a huge problem.
I may be stepping out of turn, and I don’t know all that is going on but I am pissed off from the things I do know and fucking, frankly, **Dex** needs to be demoted to member and not allowed to be an admin as I have never seen any redeaming (sp) qualities if he/she can’t even pony up to his/her issues with people on this board.
It makes me sick, very sick. A person that has met another person and calls her out for it.
I can appreciate concern, but the events that happened prior to this just makes me fucking ill.
I could give a shit if this gets me banned, ban me…at least I had my say and there is no room for being assholes here.
So, flame me, take sides, whatever but **Dex** was a dickhead and this should not be taken foregranted, admin or not.
I am sorry to those that this affects but I am pissed, seriously pissed. God I could rip out the hearts out of kittens right now and I am not that kind of person.

I am sorry but I am pissed off and I wont worry about linking anything as I am pissed…go look for a locked thead dealing with **Dex**.

Tech, from what I read, Dex apologized privately to **Persephone**. It’s not any of your business, or anybody else’s. It’s between them, and if **Persephone** is satisfied (which, I think she indicated she was) then that should be the end of it and you should let the matter drop.
Given what happened to **Xploder** today, maybe you should email an admin/mod and try to avoid meeting the same fate.

Persephone’s statement on whether Dex needs to apologise
“No he doesn’t. I don’t need one. Not from Dex.”
Some people think he was wrong. Other people think that his reaction to the original post was fair enough. Ever way, the only person who could demand an apology has said she doesn’t want one.
So what is the point of this?

Given that some of those “in charge” seem to have some serious psychological issues, it’s pointless to question their reasoning, their motives, or their raison d’etre. They are what they are.
Incidentally, it’s interesting that Person X was banned by someone who has absolutely no authority to do so himself, unless I’ve been misinformed.

**dantheman** , he wasn’t banned by manny, as mods can’t ban people. However, **Xploder** obviously knew the risk he was taking, and ignored manny’s warning. What did he think was going to happen? Just because admins ban doesn’t mean mods are powerless.

I am sorry, pepper, but this behavior affects us all. I know he/she apologized privately to her but does that make it right? Does his/her original post with a later apology make it right given it was all done in private make it right?
No, I am sorry. The implication that all is well is bullshit. I am not satisfied at the least. A simple “I am sorry” would suffice regardless of what anyone thinks about her and her situation. Okay?
I am not far from her situation and this really pisses me off and I apologise to Cristi for this but I can’t let it go… **Dex** really fucked up and that’s my issue. At this point, Cristi has done what she can to make things right for **her children** but I have yet to see a “I am sorry Cristi, I fucked up” from **Dex** which pisses me off.
I make no excuses, but for Cristi and what she has had to deal with here…I have been there and still live in that realm…but I am pissed because an ADMIN can’t say sorry in public. What a fucking puss.
Pepper, this is what pisses me off. An admin makes a mistake and wont own up to it…I didn’t want to start this thread but fucking all that is good, I can’t believe that **Dex** thinks it’s okay to be a fucking jerk, yes, a fucking jerk and not own up to it.
I can’t tell you much more than that, so deal with it. There’s **Dex** and there’s no one but Ed Zotti or Cecil to demote him/her unless we all call “foul”…eh?
I am calling WRONG, be an ass, fuck all that is told to us to give us a foundation…fuck all that, an admin is an ass, why should I give a fuck about it and frankly I would like to see **Dex** out of “office” of the SDMB.
I said it, its there. **Dex** needs to step down as an admin as far as I am concerned.

How do you know he didn’t own up to it? Were you privy to the private exchange between Cristi and Dex?
Furthermore, this is the sort of the thing you should have emailed to Dex. It would have been far more constructive, and you probably would have got the answer you wre looking for. I’m sorry, but this _doesn’t_ affect the whole community. Some people may be completely ignorant anything happened, some people may be completely oblivious, and some people may not even care at all. It affected a very small number of posters who were close to the situation, and that is all.
What happened was a mistake, and if Dex apologized and Cristi accepted, then it should be over. People make mistakes, and Cristi handled everything in a beautifully gracious way that truly spoke of her style and class. Let her continue to handle the situation as she sees fit, because in the end, she was the only one offended and she is the only one who can accept or reject an apology—and she’s already accepted.

I tried to email TubaDiva but my puter rebooted and at that point I said, fuck it I will post it.
Deal with it girly…this is the place to bitch about the mods and admins, I am there, telling people that **Dex** needs to be pulled from his/her duties given previous posts…isn’t that the purpose of the Pit?

Without getting to far into it, techchick, as I have no particularly stake either way…
Maybe you need to stand back a little. Sure, complain about the administration, good, that’s part of what the pit is for.
But posting while you’re clearly as angry as you seem to be doesn’t help your cause. Much better to be angry and not emotional. That would make your case better, if you see what I mean.

And seeing someone banned for asking if it was okay to talk about things was **not** fun.
This is _exactly_ the kind of dispute that leads to martyrs and meltdowns.

**Techcheck** , Dex apologised to Persephone privately. While I understand that she is your friend, it’s really not your place to be baying for a public apology. The only person he owed an apology to was Persephone, and he’s done that. It appears to be resolved between the two of them.
Do you think that Persephone will thank you for dragging this out longer than it needs to be?
