Will the movies made after Godzilla 2000 ever be released over here in the US? I’m dying to see 'em.

Wait, YOU’RE the guy who runs that site??? I’ve been visiting your site semi-regularly since '98!
El Elvis Rojo, after that line was said, the theater i saw G2K in (opening night, 8 people, one girl) groaned audibly (all 8 of us) and the girl said “Oh, My God”.
Good Times!
Ayup, that’d be me. Hence the username. I haven’t spent much time on the site lately (getting married will do that), but I do at least stick up a new review whenever a new movie comes out. In fact, I just added a review for the latest flick, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (III) that came out in December 2000.
As for whether any of the new movies will ever be released in the U.S., I really don’t know. Godzilla 2000 didn’t do well enough for them to bother theatrically releasing the later movies, but I hope they will at least make them available on DVD…

The Rotten Library really sheds light on the Japanese mentality behind the mad cap Kaiju battles.
No offense, Tars, but what did you think his handle meant?
You don’t have to limit yourselves to the canonical Godzilla. There are so many other monsters available to choose from, from other producers. If you’d like to give Tokyo a break, you can watch Reptilicus take out Copenhagen, or The Giant Behemoth in London, or Yonggary (“Reptilian”) trash Seoul, or various other nonlizard monsters as well.
Besides fan dubbed bootlegs, they’ve shown up in region 3, but not region 1 (unless something has changed recently that i missed). Those have been ripped and are making the internet rounds. But I wouldn’t know anything about that!
I thought it meant Godzilla was taken and he just added a random noun after… I guess that’s why i’m not a crime detective!
The SciFi Channel will be showing both Godzilla vs. Megaguiras and Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah on August 31 (along with some other Big G. movies, as part of an all day monster-movie marathon). I seem to recall it is scheduled for DVD release soon thereafter.
And there you have it! I personally would recommend Godzilla vs. Megaguiras over GMK, but your taste might vary.
