Recommend a comic book for someone who doesn't like comic books

This isn’t specifically a recommendation for non-comic readers, because I think it’s a great comic whether you’re a comic reader or not: The Maxx by Sam Kieth and Bill Messner-Loebs. It starts out seeming like just another superhero comic, but become much more than that quickly. The art is gorgeous, the one-liners are snappy, the content is super-trippy, and the emotional punch kicks you in the gut sometimes. If this post convinces just one person to read it, I’ll be happy.
