Not really a Bluegrass fan, but sweet zombie jesus this guy can play. Where do I start? ---

Go back and start with this CD: _ **The David Grisman Quintet** _ (released 1977) - Still a solid recording to this day and IMHO his best. ---

Grappelli lived a very long life & played almost to the end. Here, he teams with Grisman & other young hotshots–playing gypsy jazz. Grisman’s bluegrass is very fine–although he’s always pushed the boundaries. But this set is sublime. ---

[Garcia/Grisman](http://www.amazon.com/Grisman-Garcia-David/dp/B00000390S) is wonderful - they did a series of albums together focusing on various themes, folk, jazz, etc. ---

I’ll second _Stephane Grappelli and David Grisman Live_, and add a vote for _Tone Poems_- the first one, by David Grisman and Tony Rice. I haven’t heard the others, but they’re supposed to be very good as well. ---
